Julien Alfred continues her impressive undefeated streak this season in her primary competitions, claiming victory in the women’s 100m at the BAUHAUS-galan Diamond League event held in Stockholm, Sweden. The 24-year-old Olympic champion established a new meet record of 10.75 seconds, marking her second triumph within a mere three days. Following her win in Oslo on Thursday, where she clocked in at 10.89 seconds, Alfred significantly improved her seasonal best, surpassing the previous Stockholm meet record of 10.90 seconds. Hailing from Ciceron, she is currently the second fastest woman globally for 2025, trailing only behind Melissa Jefferson-Wooden from the US, while also holding the title for the fastest over 200m with a remarkable 21.88 seconds. Although Alfred lacked complete confidence before the race, a discussion with her coach, Edrick Floreal, helped ease her concerns. She plans to return to her training base in Austin, Texas, before competing at the Prefontaine Classic on July 5.
