On March 2, 2025, the ‘Wall of Trinity Bishops’ received its latest enhancement with the induction of Bishop Jeffery B. Cooper, Sr. This honorable tradition, initiated by the Reverend Dr. Cooper, serves to pay tribute to former Trinity pastors who have ascended to the Episcopacy. The inaugural member, Bishop Adam J. Richardson (115th), led Trinity AME in Southwest Atlanta from November 1973 to June 1978, before his election and consecration in 1996. Bishop Preston Warren Williams, II (119th), who pastored from October 1967 until 1970, was instrumental in relocating the congregation in 1969 and was elected Bishop in 2000. Bishop Cooper, the current Presiding Prelate of the 18th Episcopal District, devoted 24.5 years to Trinity before his elevation in 2024. His portrait, crafted by renowned artist Dwayne Mitchell, was unveiled in a ceremony attended by numerous dignitaries and Trinitarians.
