San Francisco — In a time when efforts to erode racial justice are intensifying, the Third Annual Nonprofit Boot Camp by the San Francisco Bay View Foundation emerges as a critical hub for Black-led initiatives and strategies. Scheduled for Saturday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Bayview Opera House (4705 Third St.), this year's theme, “Black and Proud: Standing Firm in the Face of Opposition,” serves as both a rallying call and a strategic guide. This Boot Camp transcends ordinary gatherings; it’s a powerful platform for nonprofit leaders engaged in advocacy, healing, and transformation. Attendees will partake in practical workshops on fundraising, governance, organization, and sustainability—crucial skills for effective leadership. Keynote speaker Carolyn “CJ” Johnson, CEO of the Black Cultural Zone, underscores the event's significance. A lineup of influential leaders, including Trevor Parham and Dr. Gina Fromer, will also contribute. Kevin Epps emphasizes the camp’s role in fostering enduring movements. A day of workshops culminates in music and renewed solidarity. Free registration is available now. Join this movement—Black and proud, we’re just getting started.
