(Photo: YouTube)Across the country, millions of Americans are breathing a sigh of relief that Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael, and William Bryan will be held accountable for murdering Ahmaud Arbery. The Rev. Alvin Herring, executive director of Faith in Action, the largest grassroots, faith-based organizing network in the United States, praised the verdict as a step forward for accountability in a justice system that has too often failed Black Americans:“Today’s guilty verdicts in the trial of Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael, and William Bryan mean that, finally, there will be accountability for the murder of Ahmaud Arbery. The verdicts are a sign of progress, especially when you consider it was nearly an all-white jury, in an out of the way southern town that convicted these three murderers. True justice would mean our dear brother, our son, our heart would still be with us.
