Eddy Kenzo, B2C receive nod in the MTV Africa Music Awards

Eddy Kenzo By Our Reporter Ugandan musicians, Eddy Kenzo and B2C have received a nod in the upcoming MTV Africa Music Awards. They were announced in the second batch of nominees which was released on Tuesday. Kenzo is nominated in the Best Fan Base category while B2C will compete for the Song of Year award. B2C is nominated for their hit song, “Munda Awo” and face fierce competition from ‘Duduke’ by Simi (Nigeria), ‘FEM’ by Davido (Nigeria), ‘Jeje’ by Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), ‘Jerusalema’ by Master KG featuring Nomcebo Zikode (South Africa), and ‘Monsters You Made’ by Burna Boy featuring Chris Martin (Nigeria/UK) among others In the Best Fan Base category, Kenzo will face off with some of the top artistes on the continent including Cassper Nyovest (South Africa), Diamond Platnumz (Tanzania), Fally Ipupa (Democratic Republic of Congo), Shatta Wale (Ghana), and Wizkid (Nigeria) among others. The second round of nominations comprised of other categories – Best Collaboration, Best Alternative, Best International Act, and Personality of the Year. For the category of Best Collaboration, Burna Boy was nominated twice, for his song ‘Monsters You Made’, with global artist Chris Martin, and with South Africa’s Master KG and Nomcebo Zikode for ‘Jerusalema...
