Currently, around 70% of Americans support same-sex marriage, yet several Republican-led states are pushing symbolic bills aimed at reversing this right. As concern grows among same-sex couples, Michigan Democrats are advocating for protective measures against potential legislative rollbacks. Additionally, Missouri is exploring “covenant marriage,” which excludes same-sex couples. The implications of these actions could significantly undermine LGBTQ+ rights.
