Five African American Faculty Members Who Have Been Assigned New Duties

Clay S. Gloster Jr., a professor in the department of computer systems and technology at North Carolina A&T State University, was given the added duties as vice provost of graduate research and dean of the Graduate College at the university. Dr. Gloster holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from North Carolina A&T State University. He earned a master of divinity degree from Howard University and a Ph.D. in computer engineering from North Carolina State University. Terry-Ann Jones was appointed professor of political science and director of Africana studies at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Dr. Jones comes to Lehigh from Fairfield University in Connecticut, where she served as associate professor of sociology and anthropology and was director of the international studies program. She is the author of several books including Sugarcane Labor Migration in Brazil (Palgrave Pivot, 2020). Dr. Jones is a graduate of York University in Toronto, where she majored in political science and Latin American and Caribbean studies. She earned a the University of Miami in Florida.
