A federal grand jury has returned an indictment charging Wendell Doyle Goney with possession of a firearm as a convicted felon and the destruction of an aircraft. If he is convicted, Goney can face up to 30 years in federal prison.According to some of the court documents, on July 11th, deputies in Lake County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary at a 10-acre business property in Mount Dora. When deputies deployed a drone to assist with their search, the drone was destroyed by gunfire from a neighboring property.
