Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis Names Its Inaugural Regents’ Distinguished Professor

Kelvin Adams was appointed Regents’ Distinguished Professor in the College of Education at Harris-Stowe State University in St. Louis, effective April 5. He will also serve as associate dean of the College of Education. A Regents’ Distinguished Professorship is the highest and most prestigious academic rank awarded by the Board of Regents of Harris-Stowe State University. As the university’s Inaugural Regents’ Distinguished Professor, Dr. Adams will serve as a resource to the university and contribute to the College of Education through such activities as lectures, engagement in teaching and research, and recommendations for continued development of the education department. “I am humbled by the opportunity to work under the leadership of President LaTonia Collins Smith and the new dean of the College of Education Marrix D. Seymore Sr.,” said Dr. Adams. “Harris-Stowe State University is a historically Black university committed to providing affordable, quality higher education to underserved students in an inspiring environment.
