Black College Hall of Fame Classic Features Miles College Season Opener

Miles College, the reigning champions of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC), is set to compete against No. 19 Virginia Union University in the Black College Football Hall of Fame Classic on Sunday, Aug. 31. This event will unfold at the Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, with a kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.This early season clash presents a solid challenge for the Golden Bears (10-3 overall, 8-0 in the conference last year), facing a team that not only gained national acclaim but also secured the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) championship last season, finishing with a 10-4 record overall and 6-1 in their conference.Chris Goode, in his inaugural season as head coach for Miles College, succeeds Sam Shade, now leading Alabama A&M.
