Workers Unite: Labor Leaders and Union Members Rally for Fairness Over Billionaire Power

This gathering coincides with the nationwide tour titled “It’s Better in a Union: Fighting for Freedom, Fairness & Security.” Throughout governmental platforms in Georgia, there are increasing assaults on the fundamental rights of workers, union jobs, and vital social programs, ostensibly to enrich CEOs further. Shuler denounces the disproportionate earnings of corporate leaders like Delta’s CEO, who receives $27 million annually, contrasting sharply with the meager wages earned by frontline employees. “They do the actual work,” she emphasized. Highlighting worker struggles at companies like Amazon, Shuler called for equitable profit sharing and job security. Local AFL-CIO President Yvonne Brooks echoed, insisting the state thrives on its workers, not billionaires. The rally aimed to amplify workers' voices, demanding their rightful share and dignity in the workplace. Local worker Teresa Kennard shared her plight, emphasizing the need for improved compensation.
