A New Jersey resident has initiated legal action against two law enforcement bodies, asserting that their officers abandoned her naked and handcuffed outdoors during a raid on her boyfriend’s residence two years prior. As reported by NJ.com, the lawsuit targets the Franklin Township Police Department and the Vineland Police Department, alleging misconduct and use of excessive force stemming from a September 2023 incident. The plaintiff, reportedly dressed only in her birthday suit, was roused by the police raid at 6 a.m. After hastily donning a robe, she was handcuffed and placed outside in the front yard. During her detainment, her robe became unfastened, exposing her. Despite her pleas for assistance to cover herself, her requests were disregarded. The lawsuit further claims that she remained exposed for 45 minutes, during which time neighbors reportedly witnessed her nudity. Eventually, an officer provided a blanket that failed to adequately conceal her. Additionally, the complaint includes allegations regarding an unlawful search and seizure of her phone, with no charges ever filed against her.
