The Saint Lucia Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) is preparing for the highly awaited 2025 Caribcation Carnival Sevens, set to draw seven visiting teams competing against an equal number of local squads. This fourth annual event will showcase teams from Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Martinique, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, alongside representatives from North America. Scheduled at the Gros Islet Playing Field during the Emancipation weekend on August 1 and 2, the tournament will kick off with a press conference and meet-and-greet at Baywalk Mall in Rodney Bay on July 31, featuring interactions with teams and exciting fan engagement activities, including sponsor raffles and giveaways. The Saint Lucia Tourism Authority underlines its support for this year's festivities, emphasizing the social aspects of rugby. In a bid to further enhance player development, SLRFU Technical Director Wayne Pantor has announced the introduction of an Under-20 division, while teams will compete for a total of USD 12,000 in cash prizes.
