Marcus Jordan, the 34-year-old son of NBA legend Michael Jordan, was arrested early Monday morning in Maitland, Florida, on charges of driving under the influence (DUI), possession of cocaine, and resisting arrest. The incident occurred around 1:14 a.m. when Jordan’s blue Lamborghini SUV became stuck on railroad tracks. Upon arrival, officers observed that Jordan exhibited signs of impairment, including slurred speech, bloodshot eyes, and the odor of alcohol. He admitted to having consumed drinks earlier at a gentleman’s club. After failing three field sobriety tests, a search of his person revealed a white powdery substance in his pants pocket, which tested positive for cocaine. During the arrest, Jordan was reportedly combative and continued singing during transport to the Orange County Jail, where he is being held on a $4,000 bond via TMZ.
This is not Jordan’s first encounter with the law. In 2012, he pleaded no contest to disturbing the peace following an altercation outside a hotel in Omaha, Nebraska. More recently, in July 2024, he was seen in the south of France appearing to inhale a white powdery substance, though no charges were filed in that incident.
