Javier Pavia, the brother of Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia, was apprehended Saturday night at Neyland Stadium amidst the Commodores’ contentious victory over Tennessee, marking his second arrest on game day this season. The 25-year-old faced charges of public intoxication after reportedly becoming disruptive with event personnel and refusing to cease waving a large flag that obstructed fellow fans' views.A Tennessee Highway Patrol arrest report indicated that stadium staff had warned Pavia multiple times before police stepped in. The report described Pavia as appearing “extremely intoxicated,” unsteady on his feet, and “verbally combative” with both officers and staff. He was subsequently booked into Knox County Jail but released on his own recognizance early Sunday morning. This marks Javier’s second incident this season, following a previous arrest in August alongside his brother Roel Pavia, during Vanderbilt's season opener. He is due for a bond arraignment on December 9, while both brothers are also expected in court in January for prior charges.
