Erika Jordan was appointed vice president for alumni engagement at Boston University. For the past six years, she has served as assistant vice chancellor for alumni relations and constituent engagement at the University of California, Irvine. She will assume her new duties on June 1. Jordan earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She holds a master’s degree from the University of Southern California. Viticus Thomas has been appointed assistant director and transfer coordinator in the office of admissions at South Carolina State University. He was a graduate counselor at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. Thomas received a bachelor’s degree in social work at Johnson C. Smith University and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. LaWanna Gilbert-Bell has been promoted to director of the Office of Sponsored Programs and Research at the University of Louisiana Monroe. She was associate director and has worked in the office for the past 12 years. Gilbert-Bell holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in educational technology leadership from the University of Louisiana Monroe.
