The alleged graffiti vandal behind “Pam the Bird” has dodged questions and jumped into a waiting Porsche after being bailed to his grandmother’s home on his second attempt. Jack Gibson-Burrell, 21, covered his face in a white T-shirt and ignored reporters as he walked free from Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon. Magistrate Johanna Metcalf denied his first bail bid on February 5 after finding he was an unacceptable risk of reoffending due to the notoriety of the cartoon-like bird murals. But she found Gibson-Burrell’s risk was now reduced because he had an available stable address with his grandmother in Geelong, a job offer in Ballarat and a $30,000 surety.
