Polius Joins Coaching Team for West Indies U19 Cricket: A New Era Begins

Commencing Monday, the West Indies Men's Under-19 team is set to welcome their Sri Lankan rivals for a seven-match Youth One Day International series in Antigua & Barbuda. Notably, while Saint Lucia will not have players on the field, Dalton Polius, assistant coach at the Saint Lucia Cricket High Performance Centre, steps into his inaugural regional role, assisting head coach Rohan Nurse. This series is essential for the team's preparation ahead of the 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup in Zimbabwe and Namibia. It showcases Cricket West Indies’ dedication to nurturing young talent through vital international exposure. Scheduled at premier venues, including Coolidge Cricket Ground and the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium, the series will exhibit the Caribbean's finest talents. Captain Joshua Dorne leads a 16-man squad, alongside standout players from the recent Cricket West Indies Rising Stars Under-19 tournament.
