Marla Love has been named the Robert W. and Elizabeth C. Staley Dean of Students at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She has been serving as interim dean of students since September 2020. Before coming to Cornell in 2017, Love was director of graduate and professional student affairs at Azusa Pacific University in California. Dean Love received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from what is now Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2002 and a master’s degree in higher education from the University of Michigan in 2003. She is is currently a doctoral candidate in higher education at Azusa Pacific University. Asquith S. “Sean” Armstrong has been named dean of University College at Washington University in St. Louis, effective November 1. He has been serving as executive director for continuing education at the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He joined the faculty at the University of Central Florida in 2006. Dr. Armstrong earned a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He holds a master of public administration degree in public personnel management from Troy University in Alabama, and a doctorate in higher education and policy studies from the University of Central Florida.
