Former NFL Player Recalls Russell Wilson Checking Him After Talking About His Family

Tammy Wilson, mother of NFL star Russell Wilson, promptly defended her son from disparagement after former teammate Trevone Boykin criticized him during a podcast. Boykin, an undrafted quarterback who was a backup for the Seattle Seahawks in 2016, recounted a Thanksgiving at Wilson's home, labeling the experience “weird” due to the absence of Russell’s family. Boykin expressed that, had he been in Wilson's financial position, he would have flown his entire family in.In response to Boykin's remarks, Tammy Wilson took to social media, asserting, “I am his mom. It is none of your business," and clarified that her family was occupied in Florida, while she chose to fast during that time. She chastised Boykin for his prior actions and emphasized, “Russ though will forgive, but not again.” The public was quick to rally behind Tammy, praising her for her assertive defense of her son amidst the backlash aimed at Boykin.
