A man from South Carolina has been arrested after admitting to issuing death threats against a Minnesota prosecutor's office, which had brought charges against Shiloh Hendrix. Hendrix gained notoriety this past April when she was recorded using racial slurs towards a five-year-old Black child with autism on a playground, alleging he stole applesauce pouches from her child's diaper bag.In the viral footage, Hendrix crudely rationalized her derogatory language, claiming she could refer to the child in such a manner if that was his behavior. Following the incident, Hendrix initiated a GiveSendGo campaign that astonishingly raised over $800,000. The local NAACP in Rochester vocally condemned her actions, prompting a fundraiser for the targeted child that amassed nearly $350,000. After four months, Hendrix faced three charges of disorderly conduct, but public discontent over the prosecution's leniency was palpable. Investigators traced death threats from 25-year-old Austin James Garlington, who faced serious charges, including one felony count of threats of violence. He is set to appear in Olmsted County court in May.
