The footage depicted Robert Ray Fortenberry, 56, confronting a Black man on his property, threatening him, and later firing a rifle directly at the individual filming the incident. In the video, Fortenberry parks in front of a home in Tallulah, Louisiana, exits his vehicle, and engages his neighbor about hitting a car. Reports indicate he first fled the scene before returning in another vehicle. During the confrontation, the filming man repeatedly requested Fortenberry to leave his property. Despite initially appearing to comply, Fortenberry escalated the situation by retrieving an assault rifle from his car, subsequently firing a shot at the cameraman. The video has amassed over four million views on Facebook. Fortenberry was later arrested at his residence, facing numerous charges, including multiple counts of aggravated assault, hate crimes, and terrorism, with a substantial bond set at $215,000.
