Recorded testimony contradicted his fabricated claims as seen in a video featured on the YouTube channel Lackluster.Stevens was wrongfully apprehended in February 2023 while observing her brother's arrest and spent four hours in jail for allegedly resisting arrest and failing to comply. Despite the damning video evidence disproving Dickerson's statements, he has faced no repercussions for his testimony against Stevens.Following the ordeal, Stevens filed a lawsuit, achieving an undisclosed settlement five months later, with claims of unlawful seizure and malicious prosecution. The lawsuit highlighted a troubling culture of misconduct within the Laurel Police Department, suggesting that supervisors encourage false justifications for unlawful arrests.
