Chapter to host a week of activities and service projects to commemorate milestone From Feb. 4 – 11, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated., Alpha Mu Omega Chapter members will celebrate 95 years of service within the Indianapolis community. The theme for the week-long celebration is “Lighting the Way: AMO 95 Years of Sisterhood & Service,” and will include a service project, church service, a celebratory gathering around the city and a sold-out anniversary brunch. “It is an honor to lead our sisters in Alpha Mu Omega, and I feel tremendously proud of the service we have provided within the Indianapolis community for 95 years,” said chapter president Tamiko Crayton. “We are standing on the shoulders of our sorority founders, and each of our chapter members is committed to our mission to be of service to all mankind as we hold up the vision of our charter members.” Since 1929, the women of Alpha Mu Omega chapter have rendered service to the Indianapolis community and beyond. The chapter’s award-winning programs have tackled the most pressing issues in our city, such as poverty, hunger, health and education.
