BCF Probes Inmate-On-Inmate Attack

A Bordelais Correctional Facility (BCF) inmate was stable after another prisoner attacked him on Sunday. Reports indicate that the attack, which left the victim with deep neck wounds, occurred as the recreation period ended. The victim was rushed to a medical facility for emergency care. St. Lucia Times has learned that the injured inmate, a Vieux Fort resident, was on remand regarding a firearm offence. Prison officials suspect the attack was gang-related and have identified and transferred the alleged perpetrator as they investigate the incident.
