Confusion over Howard graffiti artist who has ‘gone completely over the top’

It’s the name that has had Mancunians talking for months. Who on earth is Howard? The word has been emblazoned on several walls around the city in distinctive, if rather unimaginative, capital letters. His moniker has been seen in the city centre and beyond. But after several weeks which have seen Mancs scratching their heads, the person behind the graffiti remains a mystery. Coun Pat Karney, who represents Harpurhey and lives in the city centre, has described the doodles as ‘environmental vandalism’.
