Health fair coming to Black Canyon City

The Foothills Food Bank and Resource Center is hosting its third annual Free Hope and Health Fair at the Black Canyon City Community Pantry. The event, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 6, offers free health screenings and resources. Multiple community partners will attend the event, including Yavapai County Health Services, Daisy Mountain Fire and Rescue and the Catholic Charities of Arizona. Each group will provide resources for those who attend. Services include: • Free health screenings by Yavapai County Health Services • Resources to military veterans and their families by Nation’s Finest • Free haircuts provided by local volunteers • Car seat safety checks by Daisy Mountain Fire and Rescue • Domestic violence resources, parenting education, housing options and referrals from Catholic Charities Arizona • New towels and hair products distributed by Anthem Giving Circle • Dental hygiene items distributed by Kiwanis of Greater Anthem. The Black Canyon City Community Pantry is at 34550 Old Black Canyon Highway in Black Canyon City.
