Meek Mill Launching His Own Weed Strain Despite Admitting Drug Makes Him 'Depressed'

Meek Mill has revealed plans to release his own weed strain, despite previously saying he has issues with the drug.Posting on Instagram on Thursday (January 4), the Philadelphia rapper wrote underneath a photo of him at what appeared to be a cannabis dispensary: “Of course I’m starting a weed strand to go along with the new album!”His plan contradicts previous comments Meek has made about weed, including that smoking it negatively affects his mental health.In a confessional tweet in 2022, he wrote: “I smoke weed everyday and get depressed as soon as I get high … I be happy as hell sober lol it just helps me think deeper and more realistic lol.” After Snoop Dogg said he was going to stop smoking weed last year (which turned out to be a marketing stunt), Meek vowed to follow suit.
