AES Indiana announced Brandi Davis-Handy as the president in February. She previously served as chief customer officer and has been with the company for almost a decade.
She will oversee the utility’s budget, advancing customer experience, growth, regulation, government affairs and community impact priorities.

“I am excited and honored for a number of reasons. Spending years here at AES Indiana, I have grown to love the mission of not only what we do, but what we do to make it happen,” said Davis-Handy.
“What we provide is a critical need for the community.”
She cited the company undergoing a transformation with goals in four key areas: customer centricity, reliability, sustainability and economic development.

She remembers AES Indiana was utilizing a lot of coal around the time she started working with the company in 2013, and now it uses a lot of natural gas, solar wind and energy storage.
“The plan is to be the first utility by 2026 to be out of coal,” said Davis-Handy.
