Khaya Njumbe, at just 15 years old, has made history by becoming the youngest person to graduate from Indiana University Northwest!
According to IU Northwest News & Events, Khaya will soon graduate from the university with his bachelor’s degree in general studies. The teen already has three associate degrees in biology, liberal arts, and general studies. Khaya is pursuing his master’s degree and then the teen has hopes to tackle medical school.
“I guess a lot of people would think that I’m surprised, didn’t think I was going to be able to do this,” Khaya said in a recent interview with the school newspaper. “It’s pretty normal for me now because as far back as I can remember, that’s all I’ve known.”

Belinda and David Njumbe knew from an early age that their son was an extremely gifted scholar.
Khaya’s father David recalled that, “We can’t get him into any school. He was either too advanced to be in a class or too young to be in a class. That’s the dilemma.”
