A decade ago, Professor Anthony Stockard, the visionary Founder and Producing Artistic Director of Norfolk State University Theatre Company, presented Tarell Alvin McCraney’s poignant play, “The Brothers Size.” Recently, he revived this captivating production, delving into the intricate dynamics of brotherhood, both familial and aspirational. This initial staging garnered significant attention, heralding a transformative era for NSU, earning national recognition at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and securing its inaugural invitation to the prestigious International Black Theatre Festival.
