Saint Lucia Set to Shine: CARIFTA Aquatics 2027 Takes the Spotlight

Construction has commenced on the eagerly anticipated National Aquatic Centre (NAC) in Beauséjour, Gros Islet, with heavy machinery present and fencing set up. The Saint Lucia Aquatic Federation (SLAF) recently announced the island will host the 2027 CARIFTA Aquatic Championships. SLAF President Eddie Hazell emphasized the importance of meticulous planning to ensure a successful event, anticipating participation from 24 territories. Despite past attempts to secure this, Hazell's vision is to showcase Saint Lucia prominently on the international sporting stage.
