Age Friendly Forsyth now part of Senior Services

In 2017 Senior Services played a lead role in the creation of Age Friendly Forsyth (AFF), a community alliance that engages and informs aging adults and community partners to elevate the topic of aging and to create a livable community through strategic collaborative planning. Through extensive surveys and conversations with older adults in our community, AFF determined five focus areas that were most important to positive aging in our community:  *Physical and mental health *Financial health *Housing and safety *Accessibility and mobility, support network *Empowerment and engagement. After a stint as its own nonprofit, Senior Services is excited to announce that Age Friendly Forsyth will be coming back to Senior Services as an official initiative of their agency. This change in structure will allow the initiative to continue its work throughout our community.  Senior Services looks forward to engaging with the community, service partners, and others in the months to come. Learn more about Age Friendly Forsyth and how to get involved at agefriendlyforsyth.org.
