Saint Lucians will soon benefit from a new beach park at Mount Pimard, Rodney Bay, thanks to the creators of the multimillion-dollar A’ila Resorts and Residences and The LifeCo Holistic Wellness Hotel. Although this park wasn't initially planned, the resort developers recognized the need for such a space, catering to locals who frequent the beach for leisure or business.Dubbed A’ila Beach Park, this facility is the first of its kind on the island and will boast public restrooms, bars, vendor stalls, and a children's playground, fostering recreation while generating economic prospects for the community. Sean Bonet, A’ila’s administrative consultant, emphasized their commitment to collaborating with locals, both through employment and community projects. He assured that beach access would not be restricted, pledging that the park reflects their dedication to maintaining public beachfront access. Subcontractor Brent Nicholas lauded the initiative as vital for preserving public beach use while enhancing its facilities. The project's first phase, including the wellness hotel and beach park, is set to launch in early 2026.
