Julien Alfred is currently in excellent health and high spirits, although she has decided to withdraw from her next two competitions to optimize her training ahead of the season's conclusion. The Olympic 100m champion has dispelled rumors of an injury, informing the St Lucia Times that she is diligently preparing for her final races. At 24, Alfred was set to participate in two events on the Wanda Diamond League circuit in the upcoming weeks. These included the Silesia Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Poland this weekend and Athletissima in Lausanne, Switzerland, scheduled for August 20. While both Sha’Carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson-Wooden are confirmed for Silesia, Alfred's name was missing from the lineup. Following rumors, she personally affirmed her good condition and readiness for the future challenges. As the reigning Diamond League 100m champion, she has already qualified for the final in Zürich. Additionally, she will train under coach Edrick Floréal in Texas, focusing on defending her titles in the World Championships next month.
