Now, Angel Reese, the standout women’s basketball player from Maryland, has been announced as a founding owner of the DC Power Football Club, a new professional women’s soccer team launching in Washington.& DC Power FC will compete in the inaugural season of the USL Super League, which begins in August. The Chicago Sky selected Reese with the seventh overall pick in this year’s WNBA draft after she led LSU to its first NCAA women’s basketball championship in 2023 and was named the competition’s most outstanding player.
