Discovering the Essential Impact of Community Health Workers in Clinical Research

Asthma disproportionately affects young Black children, who face double the risk compared to their white peers. A 2024 JAMA Network study investigated community health workers (CHWs) for better asthma management. By strengthening ties between families, schools, and healthcare, CHWs could enhance asthma outcomes and boost Black involvement in clinical trials.
