The much-anticipated King Kong Live In The City concert, headlined by Fik Fameica was majorly a success but there some behind the scenes events that occurred that led to some artists not to perform. Eddy Kenzo, one of Uganda’s renowned artists, faced hurdles upon his arrival at the Lugogo Cricket Oval. Scheduled for a 10 pm performance, Kenzo’s entrance was marred by poor communication and handling by the event’s promoter, Musa Kavuma, popularly known as KT Promotionz. Kenzo’s security team approached the gate with professionalism, seeking guidance on accessing the stage. However, their inquiries were met with hostility from the heavily guarded promoter, KT. In a frustrating exchange, KT’s response, laden with disrespect, left Kenzo’s team stranded at the entrance. Despite attempts to resolve the situation, the lack of cooperation persisted, resulting in Kenzo’s inability to access the venue. Kenzo’s experience was not an isolated incident. Mudra, another artist slated to perform, found himself entangled in a similar confrontation at the gate.
