Lincoln Park
City officials and residents will celebrate the completion of Lincoln Yard Park during a ribbon-cutting ceremony to be held 9-10 a.m. July 24 at the park at 2099 SE Eighth Ave.
In case of severe weather, it will be held 9-10 a.m. July 25. Parking will be available in the Santa Fe College Gainesville Technology and Enterprise Center across the street from the park. Shuttle service to and from the park will be provided 30 minutes before and after the ceremony.
The new park includes a 1/3 mile walking trail, landscaping, a small playground, adult fitness equipment and interpretive signage. Construction costs totaled $369,733.
