Black Women’s Mental Health Institute to host event in Birmingham

The event is the eighth annual Mental Health Equity and Liberation Summit. It is set to take place at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens on July 11. The Summit will feature Black, Latinx, Asian, LGBTQIA+ and Indigenous speakers who will discuss their perspectives on the topic of mental health equity and culturally responsive mental health care. The theme will be Healing Justice and Collective Wellness. Founder and CEO of the Black Women’s Mental Health Institute Dr. Nadia Richardson will be the opener for this public event.
