BLU*3 REUNITED BUT HOW MUCH DO YOU REMEMBER THEM? 

Formed in the early 2000s, the Blu*3 originally composed of three talented Ugandan female artists; Jackie Chandiru, Lilian Mbabazi, and Cinderella Sanyu.& They gained massive popularity due to their compelling hit songs and captivating dance routines that were widely played on the radio and TV at that time. Their music style was heavily composed of Afro beats and Contemporary Ugandan music and sound with a touch of Pop. Their music was a fusion of various genres, making them popular not only in Uganda but also in other parts of East Africa. Following their victory in the Coca-Cola Popstars competition, they proceeded to produce the albums — Hitaji (2004) and Burn (2007) during their active years which had popular hit tracks like “Hitaji”, “Nze Manyi”, “Kankyakyankye”, “Kakana” and others.  With the legendary Producer Steve Jean as their main producer and manager; in December 2004 the video of the song ‘Hitaji’ won the Pearl of Africa Music Award for Video of the Year.
