Border Agent Found Dead at 29 After Alleged Drunken Bathroom Invasion

A U.S. Border Patrol agent under criminal scrutiny for allegedly assaulting police officers in California has been confirmed deceased, authorities reported on Wednesday.Isaiah Anthony Hodgson, 29, was located deceased in a Riverside County residence, to the east of Los Angeles, on Friday, merely days following his court appearance. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office indicated deputies arrived in Lake Elsinore around 12:45 p.m. on August 22, where Hodgson was declared dead on-site, as noted by NBC News.Details surrounding the cause of death remain undisclosed, but the sheriff’s office indicated an ongoing investigation with no indications of foul play.Hodgson, who was apprehended on July 7 in Long Beach, faced allegations after an incident that began in a women’s restroom and escalated into a confrontation with law enforcement. Carrying a handgun, he reportedly became combative during his arrest, leading to injuries sustained by an officer.
