Born to a Catholic Nun and Priest, producer Herbert Skillz reveals unusual parentage

The accomplished Ugandan sound maker shared that he is the offspring of a church nun and a Catholic priest (father). Skillz recounted the challenges his mother faced upon discovering her pregnancy while serving as a nun in the church convent. “When my mother learned that she was expecting a child with the father from the church, her friends feared she might lose her position there,” revealed Skillz during the interview. Describing the dilemma his mother faced, Skillz shared, “She had conflicting interests, torn between choosing me and maintaining her position as a nun.” Despite the pressure and advice from friends to undergo an abortion to safeguard her career within the church, Skillz’s mother decided to give birth to him and eventually left the church after informing his father. “She decided to give birth to me as she left the church after informing my dad despite her friends advising to abort the pregnancy inorder to save her career as a nun,” he added....
