Cam Newton Says It “Hurts” Him That He Can’t Support His 8 Kids the Way He Did in the NFL

This week’s Special Forces episode featured a vulnerable moment for Cam Newton. The 35-year-old acknowledged that he no longer feels like “Superman” to his eight children after losing his NFL income. During the show, Newton stated: “I’m going into a different phase of my life that’s going to require a different form of myself,”  “Being in the NFL, everyone knows there’s a large sum of money that comes to you in a short span of time, and being away from the game for three years, those checks don’t come in the same.
