Cardinal Kelvin Felix Dies At 91

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Castries has announced the death of Cardinal Kelvin Felix at 91. He died in Castries. The Archdiocese issued the following statement on his passing: Today, Thursday 30th May 2024, His Eminence Cardinal Kelvin Felix has passed away. He was 91 years old born on February 15th 1933. His primary education was the Roseau Boys School, followed by secondary education at the Dominica Grammar School. He then proceeded to study for the priesthood at the Regional Seminary of St. John Vianney in Trinidad and was ordained as a priest on April 8th 1956 in Dominica. He was the first diocesan priest and the first priest to be ordained in Dominica. Cardinal Kelvin Felix retired in 2008 and returned to his homeland Dominica and served as parish Priest of Grandbay and later Soufriere. He spent his last moments in St. Lucia. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
