Carrier hosted over 40 high school students from Area 31 Career Center at their Gas Furnace Center of Excellence in recognition on Manufacturing Day on Oct. 4. (Photos/The Factory) The students, all prospective HVAC technicians, received hands-on learning experiences and guided tours of the facility. “Taking these high school students on a tour of the plant and training center truly energizes everyone involved,” said Tim Evers, senior director of operations for Carrier. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to share the importance of pursuing a career in the trades, with the hope of inspiring the next generation of skilled technicians. We’re optimistic that the students left feeling motivated and ready to consider HVAC as a career path, with the potential to return to Carrier as future team members, dealers, or technicians. Carrier’s Gas Furnace Center is one of the largest and most advanced furnace factories in the world, producing over one million furnaces each year.
