Dr. Martinique Ann Sealy, the granddaughter of the late centenarian Mrs. Josephine Eunice Sealy of Garrand, Babonneau, recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully defending her dissertation, titled “Integrating Historically Marginalized Students’ Funds of Knowledge” for Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning. This accomplishment signifies the culmination of her journey to earn a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), highlighting her unwavering commitment to advancing education and fostering inclusive learning environments.
