Opposition leader Allen Chastanet has extended condolences on the passing of two individuals he described as ‘esteemed public servants’. The United Workers Party (UWP) leader noted the deaths of Cyprian Felix St. Hill and Cosmos Richardson with ‘profound sadness’. St. Hill, a former Permanent Secretary, died at fifty-seven on December 16, 2023, at Tapion Hospital. He was also a Former Deputy Director of Finance and Economic Affairs, and former General Manager of Radio Saint Lucia. St. Hill’s funeral occurred on Wednesday. “We celebrate his enduring contributions and the indelible impact he made through his dedicated service. His legacy is a testament to a life devoted to serving the people of Saint Lucia,” Allen Chastanet said regarding St. Hill. He also noted the loss of Cosmos Richardson. Chastanet recalled Richardson’s distinguished career as a Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Secretary, and Saint Lucia’s Ambassador to the United Nations.
