CitiParks Expands Cooling Center Hours to Combat Extreme Heat Through July 30

As temperatures are expected to rise past 90 degrees on Tuesday, July 29, and Wednesday, July 30, 2025, CitiParks will continue to operate Cooling Centers at six Healthy Active Living Centers, ensuring residents find relief from the severe heat.
These centers will offer a secure, air-conditioned space for the community to cool down on both days, operating from 8 AM to 7 PM. The locations include:
- Beechview Healthy Active Living Community Center at 1555 Broadway Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216
- Brighton Heights Healthy Active Living Community Center at 3515 McClure Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15212
- Greenfield Healthy Active Living Community Center at 745 Greenfield Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217
- Homewood Healthy Active Living Community Center at 7321 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15208
- Sheraden Healthy Active Living Community Center at 720 Sherwood Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15204
- South Side Healthy Active Living Community Center at 12th & Bingham Streets, Pittsburgh, PA 15203
