Coca-Cola UNITED has generously contributed a van to The Community Kitchens of Birmingham, a nonprofit organization that focuses on supplying nutritious and appetizing meals to individuals facing hunger. Established in 1981, Community Kitchens is located in Birmingham's Southside and extends its meal delivery services to Woodlawn, Kingston, and East Birmingham. Annually, the charity serves over 44,000 meals to families and individuals in need. The newly donated van will significantly enhance Community Kitchens' ability to serve Birmingham's neighborhoods. “We are incredibly thankful to Coca-Cola UNITED for this crucial donation. This vehicle acts as a lifeline, enabling us to reach more individuals and families by delivering meals and hope,” stated Executive Director Kimberly M. Speights. Coca-Cola UNITED’s Corporate Community Relations Manager, Christy Danzy, emphasized the importance of supporting impactful organizations, remarking, “Community Kitchens has been a beacon of hope in our city for many years.” Additionally, applications are now open for the 2026 Coca-Cola UNITED Pay It Forward Student Internship Program.
